new to the studio

  • Any, and all, of them! Our classes are suitable for people at all levels with appropriate modifications available to help you ease into the class. You can start with a Reform class, or if you want to get the hang of it without pressure, you can start with private sessions. Email us at hello@pilatesplace.co to book.
Our instructors will always offer different spring guides and intensity modifications so you can go at your own pace at all times.

  • We recommend that you reserve yourself a spot in a class each time to ensure you have a space! You can do this in the Pilates Place app—just download it, create an account, and book yourself in from there!

  • ARRIVE: Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class starts so that the instructor can give you a rundown of the studio.
WEAR: Comfortable activewear - Leggings or shorts and a light top is perfect. Grip socks are compulsory in Reformer classes.
BRING: Water, towel and grip socks

pregnancy / postpartum / injuries

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy! You are welcome to attend Pilates Place classes during your pregnancy.
Everybody is different, so we ask that you speak with your health professional to help you decide whether exercise is best for you during this time and have their tick of approval.
We have plenty of options for you, but not all of our classes are pregnancy safe. To feel supported during, and after your pregnancy, check out our Pre and Postnatal guidelines to plan your next visit with us. We love a chat so reach out to us to discuss the best classes and instructors for you.

  • Congratulations on your recent baby! Once you have attended the 6 week postpartum check with your health care professional and they are happy for you to return to exercise then you can attend our studios.
We have classes specifically for you so ensure you look for those on our timetable.

  • For those with injuries, you are able to attend as you have been cleared by your treating practitioner. Make sure to let your instructor know of your injury before each class. If your injury is acute then we recommend you seek a Physiotherapist.
Just remember we are not Physios/Exercise Physiologists or other health professionals, we are fitness instructors and are not qualified to treat or diagnose acute conditions.

Guidelines - children in the studio

  • At Pilates Place we offer child friendly classes - Pilates for You and Your Little Ones. This class is specially designed for parents who want to enjoy the benefits of Pilates without worrying about childcare. It’s the perfect balance of a challenging workout for you and a welcoming environment for your children.

    Guidelines for Bringing Your Children

To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we kindly ask parents to follow these guidelines.

    Important Safety Note:

Reformers are machines with moving parts. For your child’s safety, children cannot move around the studio during class.

    1. Babies Under Six Months (Approx.):

    • Non-mobile babies are welcome to stay beside you on a mat or in a bouncer next to your reformer.

    • Please bring these items with you to class.

    2. Older Children (For Quiet Activities):

    • Older children who can sit independently may use our seating area near the reformers or play in the creche area with the toys provided.

    • You might prefer a reformer close to this area to minimize them walking in and out.

    • If they’re using electronic devices, please ensure they wear headphones to keep noise minimal.

    • Encourage children to engage quietly to help maintain a calm and focused environment for everyone.

    3. Responding to Disruptions:

    • If your child becomes unsettled or disruptive, we ask that you promptly take a moment to attend to them. This helps ensure a peaceful class for everyone.

T+C’ s

  • If a class is currently fully booked, it will be ‘waitlisted’. You are welcome to join the waitlist (as this is the best way to get into your preferred class if fully booked). If a spot becomes available in the class you will receive a text message letting you know you are in the class where you have to CONFIRM your spot. You will have 2 hours to confirm your spot then it will move down to the next person on the list.
Make sure you have your communication preferences switched on!

  • We get it, sometimes unforeseeable circumstances arise and you can’t make it to your class. That said, we have to be consistent and fair with all clients.
OUR POLICY: if you’re unable to attend a booked class, or otherwise seek to cancel your booking within 9 hours of the class starting, you forfeit that class, or if you’re on an Unlimited Membership, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee of $15. If you don’t attend the class and haven’t cancelled your spot, you will be charged a $15 no-show fee.

If you can’t make it, let us know sooner rather than later!
Please note: cancellations will only be accepted via cancelling on the Pilates Place App and Website. We do not accept cancellations via email or socials.
